S.T.A.R. Music
is a unique concept in speech therapy and music-movement classes. These language rich sessions are designed specifically for the child with special needs and his/her family. Sheryl B. Ambers, M.S., CCC-SLP, a licensed speech-language pathologist with fifteen years of experience, created this dynamic program. Each class is led by a licensed and experienced speech-language pathologist, allowing families regular interaction with a professional who is educated in communication development and communication disorders. Parents assist their children with individualized objectives during class, and are given suggestions for home practice, allowing them to continue to facilitate their children's development throughout the week. The children enjoy these activities because they are fun. Current research shows children learn best when they are engaged and having fun. S.T.A.R. Music is FUN!
