Children SHINE!
Parents and children learn together in this communication rich atmosphere. In addition to addressing expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language objectives, children are encouraged to share their opinions, preferences, feelings, as well as make choices. The sessions provide opportunities to address fine motor, gross motor, social-emotional, and listening skills. The routine is the same each class, as this builds security in young children. The materials, however, vary. Also, each parent has the opportunity to share weekly celebrations, allowing everyone to cheer for each child’s accomplishments. What a wonderful environment for parents to boast, and for children to build self-esteem… and shine.
